More workers - please!

Paul (15) & Philip (17) – My little brothers now; our translators for the LIGHT school; and two very special young men with a burning desire to serve the Lord. Their father was a witch doctor in their home village, but eventually through the faithful work of missionaries at the Sheer Memorial Hospital all of them became Adventist. November 2009 saw the death of the oldest boy, Eleazar, leaving the two younger boys along with the parents devastated. They still can’t understand why this happened; and Paul told me that he fell into depression and started drinking. Anna, an SM here, went over to their house every evening for quite some time and prayed and prayed with them. Still the dear family has more questions than answers, but as a result they have more fully dedicated their ALL to the Lord and even the father has decided to carry on the dream of his eldest and raise up a church in his home village where he used to practice witchcraft. With almost tears in his eyes Paul has said over and over again that he is SO thankful that the Lord would NOT leave him alone when he was so hurt by the death of his brother and says, ‘I don’t understand why, but I know that the Lord has a special plan and I want to see the face of my Lord side-by-side with my brother.’ ‘I am nothing, just an empty vessel that the Lord fills.’ Eleazar’s death has left the family with a debt that he had planned to work and pay them back. They all long to be in ministry, the boys have a desire to be pastors and the father wants to raise up a church in his home village.
